Wendy LaBarre joined the St. Francis faculty in 2002 and teachers Computer Technology. She also provides tech support, teaches swing dancing, and serves as the PSIA Music Memory coach. Previously, she taught for various schools throughout Texas, including Cimarron Elementary and Woodland Acres Middle School in Galena Park, Texas, and Cedar Valley Middle School in Round Rock. Prior to teaching, Wendy worked in her family’s catering business and as a fundraiser for Oregon Public Broadcasting, United Way, Purdue Fort Wayne, and the Texas Campaign for the Environment.

She is a graduate of St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

Teaching philosophy: My philosophy of teaching continues to evolve over the years.
However, my guiding principle continues to include empowering learners to use innovation and technology to take control of their own learning and, at the same time, modeling successful skills for students.
