St. Francis School, Interdenominational Pre-K Through 8th Grade

Serving the needs of the individual child.

St. Francis shadow

The curriculum for all elementary grades includes:

Our curriculum is designed for the advanced student, while we recognize individual variation and support achievement according to ability. Students work at an individualized pace and instruction-level suited to their needs and abilities. Teachers work to meet the needs of every student so that students can reach their full potential for excellence.

Our emphasis is on educating the whole child. We strive to cultivate their individual minds by addressing their weaknesses, and we encourage their strengths.

One critical part of the whole child is their character. We actively seek to help develop character in all our students. A non-denomination chapel is held on Fridays, and parents are encouraged to attend. Our Spirit of St. Francis awards recognize students who have made strides in developing character.

Our curriculum includes elements suggested by Texas Education Agency. St. Francis students do not take the TAKS test; we do not teach to a particular standardized test. Students do take the Iowa Test of Basic Skills annually.
