Integrated Technology
Computer lab times and classes are a way to further reinforce, remediate and enhance the regular classroom curriculum. At St. Francis School we strive to give students the tools that they need to explore the topics that are introduced in the classroom. The depth at which these tools are presented vary by grade level but generally are the following:
Word processing (poetry, prose, greeting cards, reports, post cards)
Presentation Software (slide type presentations and Photo Story)
Spreadsheets
Keyboarding(touch typing is taught in third grade)
Research(online Interactive lesson, video lessons and brainpop lesson with quizzes www.brainpop.com)
Concept Mapping (Inspiration software maps and organizes concepts)
Collaborative Learning(blogs, WiKi's)
