Development
The term “development” refers to all dynamics of a continuing fundraising program (including: annual giving, special events, planned gifts, public relations, volunteerism, marketing, grants, etc.). Fundraisers are only one important piece of an overall development program.
At St. Francis, we are committed to improving and expanding our development program year after year for the purpose of increasing non-tuition revenue in order to continually improve upon all facets of St. Francis School.
Please contact Peggy Hanley, Director of Development, at 225-1832 or phanley@stfrancis-school.org if you are interested in becoming involved in this crucial element of life at St. Francis School.

THE PINNACLE PROJECT- The Pinnacle Project is St. Francis School’s annual fund, and the fundraising priority of the St. Francis School Board. All money raised goes to “bridge the gap” between income generated by tuition and fees and the cost to educate each student. Each family is asked to give a meaningful gift to the Pinnacle Project. Last year's Pinnacle Project raised more than $180,000 for St. Francis and saw 75% of our families participate. Look for your brochure in the mail or stop by the office to pick one up. This year’s Pinnacle Project is being chaired by Jeb and Melissa Barmish. Other committee members are Jose and Mary Marrero, Patricia Hayes Workman, and Mary Jones.THE HOWL- The HOWL is a rollicking good time to spend with the St. Francis community and do a little FUNdraising. Every October we get together to enjoy live music, great food and togetherness. The HOWL is a fun-filled carnival with fantastic inflatables, imaginative booths and a cake walk like no other. Be sure to sponsor a booth, honor your child or teacher in the pumpkin patch or just buy tickets and have a great time. The HOWL raises money for student services. This year’s HOWL chairperson is Patricia Workman.
ITALY FUNDRAISING- Each year, St. Francis eighth graders get the opportunity to travel to Italy to learn more about St. Francis in his birthplace, Assisi. Throughout the fall and early spring, the eighth grade class hosts several fundraisers in order to raise money for this important experience. Look for: Parent’s Night Out, the Chili Cook-Off, Wednesday pizza lunch, Friday morning breakfast, and other fun opportunities to support our eighth grade.
Spring
SPRING FLING- The Spring Fling is the annual parent fundraising gala for St. Francis. Each year, the Spring Fling has a different theme (“Around the World” was the theme in 2008) and raises money for a specific project. The evening traditionally includes dinner, drinks, dancing, silent and live auctions. Look for information on the 2010 Spring Fling!
Ongoing
Giving back to our community is a crucial part of the character education of our students. Throughout the year, our students participate in various fundraisers and drives that give back to our local or world community. Information will be sent to your home prior to any fundraiser and we urge you to make this a part of your child’s whole education.
