Development
The term “development” refers to all dynamics of a continuing fundraising program (including: capital campaign giving, annual giving, special events, planned gifts, public relations, volunteerism, marketing, grants, etc.). Fundraisers are only one important piece of an overall development program.
At St. Francis, we are committed to improving and expanding our development program year after year for the purpose of increasing non-tuition revenue in order to continually improve upon all facets of St. Francis School.
Please contact Peggy Hanley, Director of Development, at 225-1834 or phanley@stfrancis-school.org if you are interested in becoming involved in this crucial element of life at St. Francis School.

ANNUAL FUND - Each year, we ask our St. Francis family and friends to make a charitable contribution to the school. This year's annual fund will run from October 1 through December 1 and will raise funds critical for teacher salaries & benefits, scholarship funding, and classroom improvements. Our goal is to raise $150,000 to offer our students and teachers a bright future. Please make your pledge by contacting Peggy Hanley or by pledging online.THE HOWL- The HOWL is a rollicking good time to spend with the St. Francis community and do a little FUNdraising. On Saturday, October 22nd we will gather together to enjoy live music, great food and togetherness from 4 pm - 7 pm. The HOWL is a fun-filled carnival with fantastic inflatables, imaginative booths and a cake walk like no other. Be sure to sponsor a booth, honor your child or teacher in the pumpkin patch or just buy tickets and have a great time. The HOWL raises money for student services. This year’s HOWL chair is Marian Prieto.
ITALY FUNDRAISING- Each year, St. Francis eighth graders get the opportunity to travel to Italy to learn more about St. Francis in his birthplace, Assisi. Throughout the fall and early spring, the eighth grade class hosts several fundraisers in order to raise money for this important experience. Look for: Parent’s Night Out, the Chili Cook-Off, Wednesday pizza lunch, Friday morning breakfast, and other fun opportunities to support our eighth grade.
Spring
SPRING FLING- The Spring Fling is the annual parent fundraising gala for St. Francis. Each year, the Spring Fling has a different theme (“A Night in Old Spain” was the theme in 2011 and "The Marvelous 25th!" celebrated the 25th anniversary of SFS in 2010) and raises money for a specific project. The evening traditionally includes dinner, drinks, dancing, silent and live auctions. Look for information on the 2011 Spring Fling to be held on Saturday, February 18th!

Giving back to our community is a crucial part of the character education of our students. Throughout the year, our students participate in various fundraisers and drives that give back to our local or global community. Information will be sent to your home prior to any fundraiser and we urge you to make this a part of your child’s whole education.
