It’s going to be a great 2017-2018 at St. Francis! St. Francis is excited to welcome back returning & new students to our community. I love seeing former students & their families!

I’m from the Rio Grande Valley where I found my love for teaching. My hometown, Edcouch-Elsa, is where I began teaching at my local high school for over five years. In 2001 I followed friends to Austin. I had heard wonderful things about the city & I was ready for an adventure! In order to get to know the city I worked for the “Substitute Switch Board” for private schools. This led me to a teaching position at Lake Austin Montessori.

After teaching at the Montessori for several years, I found my home at St. Francis. In the past, I have proudly coached basketball, flag football, & track for our fearless Wolves! In my 11 years at SFS I’ve taught 5th grade science, language arts, math, & Spanish. SFS is a strong community that has become a family. I look forward to growing with SFS, the students, fellow faculty, & staff as the school continues to grow!
