Howdy y'all! I didn't always know that I wanted to teach, but I have always loved math. I got my Bachelor's in Applied Mathematics from Texas A&M (whoop!), then followed up with a Master's in Statistics from UC Berkeley. While I was a student at Berkeley, I realized that my favorite part of each day was when I got to work with undergraduates as a teaching assistant. This led to a full-time tutoring job in Oakland after graduation. However, I really wanted to be a classroom teacher and to live in Texas again, so I moved to Austin. I was fortunate enough to get a teaching position at St. Francis, and I have loved it ever since.
I mainly teach eighth grade mathematics, which has included Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra II over the years. I also coordinate the Italy trip with Paige Shehan, so if you have math or Italy questions, please let me know!
