My Bio

I have taught at St Francis since 1997.  I am the Elementary and Lower Middle School coordinator and continue to develop their curriculum.

I taught for twenty-two years in South Africa, in various positions, and was promoted several times, eventually becoming a principal.  I served on the curriculum committee for geography.  Before I emigrated, I received a “Long Service Certificate” in recognition of over 20 years of continuous service to the Public Education System of the Republic of South Africa.

I founded and served on the Durban Primary Schools’ Hockey Association.  I officiated at track and field, field hockey and swimming competitions for which I received many awards.  Additionally, I served as an executive member of the Durban South Sports Council, where I promoted the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals and groups to participate in sports.

My hobbies are reading, gardening and walking.

I love the diversity of St. Francis with its emphasis on individual growth and development.  I appreciate that I can be creative and develop new ideas.
