Join us as our 4th graders explore the idea of bringing together all people in the United States. They weigh in on how we are all human and we need to work together.

good morning st. Francis unfortunately Miz Porter can be with us today so if you would say our affirmations with me this morning be filled with loving kindness may we be healthy may we fight to right the wrongs around us may we be at peace as we bring fire to these Candlewick making them glow with lights also bring the fire love this time of prayer and worship choose the gift to be simple Tis the gift to be free is the kids to come down where we are to be and when Psalms in the place just right Simplicity is gained turn to bed to turn around right brothers and sisters agree with one another and what you say so there are no divisions among you may you be perfectly United in mind and thought all right good morning Saint Francis I am super excited to have some students from Miss Johnson's class today that are going to share some presentations they made and I'm going to turn it over to me Johnson and let her tell you about what they were doing in their class good morning everyone prior to the inauguration we wanted to spend some time talking about unity and what it meant to you and talking about unifying what can what words you could use to unify our country after watching and talking a little bit about the what was happening at the Capitol so we talked about unity and what words could be used to unify our country and this is a few excited to share a couple of our videos from our class at what they felt about Unity well I think we unify the Country Inn what I think fighting and I already know about it and said but but what I think fighting will say in the future this is what Biden should say in the future he should talk about how how she should talk about all the little things all the little things that make a little things that are holding America back and then talk about how to fix those little problems and then and then what I think will unify this country is President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris because they are already work so hard and because I'm President and Vice President so I think that will that's what I wish that what will unify this country environment first presidential speech he should say that he will unify the country by being me bringing joy peace and love to all you can accomplish this by saying that he was your ideas and how we can keep the America's future bright the best idea ideas that are for the American people and those ideas were allowed American Dream to live what's better for both Trump and violin but buying one we all have differences but we all but we should not hate them we should celebrate them at the end of the day we are all humans on one planet and we have to get a lunch for Democrats before everyone even revolve we have more in common than we have differences violence does weed into lasting change it can actually stop it reading to device hatred that can take years to heal let's find them shared fundamental beliefs that make us human not Democrat or Republican and start there fixing the economy scenes but we all want the same angles we will find common ground and compromise what is in the best interest of the USA time we all remember we're Americans first Americans are brought together by their job school and many other things right now during the pandemic people see less and less everyone wants to see other people but we also need to take safety America is so great democracy in Civilization like this comes our nation is separated America is an amazing place to be in an amazing Place many different we need to stay together I know you can see that because of this pandemic people are losing their jobs many have lost family and friends and because of this pandemic people are separated play come in who is it in Paris France husky President Joe Biden should say in his inaugural speech that we are all a team together we are all one team because we should work together we are one nation we can get things done faster as a team we are all a family under one sky I never judge people by their side or color and respect each other like family unified means we are are we are one we works together Hammond High guys Joe Biden should say in his inauguration speech I don't care about the election it is okay if people did not vote for me I care about America being better I am going to do better than chance I think Unity is love working together respectful and happiness and putting somebody's face Unity Unity is something that people connect to and it doesn't matter about their skin color or where they came from or how they act Unity is love and where you do and where you can celebrate your cultures together and your ideas together and and not put them away Francis Lord a vision of your world as your love with Travis a world where cheese is built with Justin and Justice is Guided by love give us the inspiration and courage to build it they remake Your Love known to our words and action well thank you so much Miss Johnson for sharing your videos with us from your class I so loved the message today that Unity is celebrating differences Unity is love and unity is working together think that's such a great way to start the year and things to keep in mind as we're here you know navigating our pandemic World unfortunately Miz Porter couldn't be here with us today I actually do not have too many announcements today I do want to remind you all that we want put together Chad and Carla invited y'all a couple weeks ago to let us know let them know they want to know what makes you joyful out there Saint Francis and so message went out from is Amber yesterday the day before and we sent went out earlier in the week there are a couple ways you can let us know what makes you joyful you can send me an email with some pictures you can upload a short video of you telling what makes you joyful or what showing what makes you joyful and we're going to be putting those together for our Chapel for next week so there's lots of time between now and next Thursday to do that so I would like to invite you to think about what makes you joyful and see if you're willing to share that Mister Parker yard next hey good morning Saint Francis if you came to Pochi last Wednesday you had the pleasure of hearing mr. Darrell Pittman AKA The Green Lantern who is well-known Saint San Antonio poet and I'm sending the the invitation out to the Texas Community the poker community so that we can get some more gas powered so they just kind of come in and come by and of course we had our regular regulars there it was fantastic so if you're looking for something really fun to do on a Wednesday morning come join us for poetry 7:40 to 8:30 in my zoom room look for the invitation in your email where on Facebook thank you Michelle now if you all would say with me the prayer of Saint Francis Lord make me an instrument of your peace where there is hatred let me sow love where there is injury pardon where there is doubt Faith where there is despair hope where there is Darkness light and where there is sadness Joy grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console to be understood as to understand to be loved as to love for it is in giving that we receive it is in pardoning that we are pardoned and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life have a wonderful day Saint Francis
