Why an Annual Fund ?
Parents sometimes ask, “Why do an annual fund? Why not just raise tuition?” This is a fair
question with an important answer:
Tuition keeps us going. The Annual Fund keeps us GROWING.
We keep costs and tuition low. Tuition at St. Francis reflects the baseline subsistence needs of the school and minimizes barriers for economically diverse families. But the with the annual fund, we ask families to invest—to the level of their ability—in what makes St. Francis more than just another private school.
Family giving is a factor major donors consider.
Foundations, corporations and institutional donors look to annual fund giving as an indication of family investment. This is why it is so important that every family give what it can!
Annual Fund goals shift so tuition doesn’t have to.
With fairly static tuition rates, families can plan ahead for their kids’ education expenditures. Our Annual Fund provides the flexibility we need to respond to new opportunities and challenges.
Teachers at St. Francis give 100% to your kids.
Every teacher at St. Francis gives to the Annual Fund every year because they believe it’s important to help the school develop and grow to meet the needs of future students.
Participation is paramount to our success!
The reality is that we benefit more from the fact that EVERYONE at St. Francis gives than what amount is given. We are asking families to do as much as they can within their abilities.
Scholarship families give too. Annual fund participation among families receiving assistance matches general participation rates.
8th Grade Families: This is your child’s special year, we ask that you consider giving extra in honor of your soon-to-be graduate.
A few things to keep in mind:
We ask that you generously give what you can by pledging before December 1.
Pledges may be paid the day they are made or by the end of the fiscal year, June 1, 2018. You can make monthly, quarterly, or semiannual payments. Credit card payments are accepted as well. For gifts of stock, please contact Tiffany Johnson, Director of Development, at (512) 225-1834.
St. Francis qualifies for matching gift programs thanks to our fantastic family participation rates. Because St. Francis is a private school, many corporations have matching fund programs. St. Francis has greatly benefited from matching gifts in previous years. Please check with your human resource department or contact Tiffany Johnson at (512) 225-1834.
