Our friends Tad and Carla are back! This time they talk about eggs, bunnies, and the different symbols that we use for this time of the year.

good morning everybody everyone to please close their eyes I don't like those this morning to observe a minute of silence as we remember those who lost their lives to Stannis less violence prompted by racism and Hate please repeat after me they please fight to right the wrongs around us hey we fight to right the wrongs around us thank you add we bring fire to these candle wicks making them go with light maybe bring love and joy to this time of prayer and worship people of the world used to do evil learn to do good erect depression bring Justice doll good morning Saint Francis this is one of my favorite times of year it's spraying we just had spring break there are things blooming and growing in my yard and we have our Jewish families are going to be celebrating Passover starting on the Saturday Christian friends will be celebrating Easter the following week there's a lot going on and Tanning Carla recently got together with a special friend and we're thinking about Springtime and bunnies and eggs and their significance at this time so let's take a look at what they had to say about that Marla whatever are you doing Ouija can't you see I'm waiting waiting for what I don't think things have big things this rabbit is going to lay some Easter eggs for us and the tadpole oh really I've got to see that I'm beginning to think that this isn't going to happen right now I don't know baby rabbits don't Skyla toddler your brakes are so sheltered in America Eastern rabbits lay eggs on ground this eastern time I thought you knew that add Peach and there is no Peach we've covered that some time ago did Easter eggs when I was young Hamill in London and in fact Easter eggs are hunted all over the world and have been for a long time but I guess I should have realized that rabbits don't lay the eggs they just bring them so you're saying that you have got to be an Easter chicken to lay an Easter egg and Easter bunny like a bunch of plants all over the place nearest Mountain what does all this have to do with the Easter stuff and symbols even I can see why his rabbits may be a good symbol for spring and everything is new this is a time for a rebirth or plants and animals I seem to recall that no more than a spring named who stood for rebirth in love she came a long ago and her companion I know this German show me the idea of Easter Bunny they called him a little bit if you ask me the point of the Eastern chicken. Explain why you'd have eggs and then I lay eggs add this is a symbol for Easter was celebrated a symbol of new life in ancient Egyptian medieval Europe in an African cultures later the cracking egg was a symbol for Christ Resurrection from the tomb what did you know that, that the egg is also a symbol for morning like for your morning someone who passed away why there is a hard boiled egg on the Seder plate during Passover all the sacrifices made during Passover this is going to Passover and Easter both happened in springtime a time for the hope Andrew Eddie Newell and the new beginnings I want started to be dyed believe it or not I knew that Tad ancient Persians in 3000 BCE colored eggs with dye made from Roots and bark and onions and it was the celebrate Springtime later than mentioned the Germans in Europe kept the tradition and then when they came to America that's when Rabbits and Eggs I just I didn't really didn't catch on until after the Civil War I'm still trying to decide what this has to do with Jesus if it is because when spring is coming Captain look very closely to see the signs like children looking for the Easter eggs that are hidden Jesus died and his body was put in a cave kind of cave in three days later he was. find his followers the disciples had to look very closely to find him what is followers multiplied and now all over the world each year time a remember this story by combining symbols like eggs and bunnies and a cross how the world was changed by his Miracle of Resurrection it's amazing although I'm not sure I really understand any of it I understand on mystery because how this bunny lays each other eggs is certainly a hysterectomy YouTube Chad wonderful Easter and I also want to wish Happy Passover to our Jewish families who are celebrating starting this Saturday YouTube Carla be at peace with all people never take revenge if your enemy is hungry feed them and if they are thirsty give him a drink do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good I don't think anyone needs be reminded that next Friday and the following Monday we do not have school but you do need to be reminded this coming Thursday we will not have a previously scheduled so next Thursday is coming Thursday you will have scheduled as usual school schedule for Saint Francis as usual I am words to announce poetry I do want to let you know that we are still running on Wednesdays at 7:40 and this has become a little bit tougher with the transition of students coming back to school so I want you to know if you're coming back to school still go to poetry contact me or have your parents contact me and we'll figure out a way to make that happen we already have couple students sick I'm a little bit early and we find a place for them to be so that they can still do that for poetry so we would love to have every Wednesday at 7:40 thank you very much and I'm I'm going to pass the Baton to doctor over door Mister Parker I wanted to point out you probably have noticed that we've tweaked the beginning of our Chapel as you into the space over the last several weeks we've been having some different music playing some of it is really familiar like the Beatles And we feed her some other artists and said this is an opportunity for us to kind of explore some new kind good music for each of us we've had a couple weeks I played music from a group of men who are violinists that are African American and they're called Black Violin I highly recommend that you go and look at some of their music videos on YouTube and explore some of their music pretty phenomenal and they combine a lot of genres is there playing and this week we featured music from Joey Alexander and he is from Bali which is Indonesia in and he is only 17 he just recently turned 17 he was discovered as a fourteen-year-old so the same age as many of you upper middle school students out there and I want to recommend that you go and listen to music on Spotify go check out some of his YouTube videos as well as a very remarkable young man and so I just will be featuring different musicians each week and I'll tell you a little bit about who they are and how you can check out their music mr. Hale will you lead us to the Prayer of Saint Francis yes certainly Saint Francis School read along with me please Lord Make Me an instrument of your peace where there is hatred let me sow love weather is injury despair weather Darkness and where there is sadness.
